Duval County School District has officially granted Mayport Middle School Magnet status. 

We are now Mayport Coastal Sciences Middle School!

The Mayport Coastal Sciences Middle School magnet program will enable all students to reach their full potential as creative, inquiring learners who respect our Florida Marine Ecosystems.  Our mission is to teach through an interdisciplinary focus of rigorous, core academic subjects and electives which prepare learners for the stringent requirements of high school’s Advanced Placement (AP), Early College, International Baccalaureate (IB), and Advanced International Certificate of Education (AICE) programs as well as the Academy of Coastal and Environmental Science (ACES) Career Academy at Terry Parker High School.

Our methodology will be inquiry-based, differentiated, and aligned with College Board Advanced Placement expectations.  Our students will become self-directed researchers, analytical thinkers, problem solvers, prolific readers and writers, and lifelong stewards of the environment.

The Vision of Mayport Middle School is to deliver a rigorous, relevant, differentiated curriculum designed to maximize academic achievement of all individuals, regardless of ethnicity, economic status, physical or emotional challenges.

The Mission Mayport Middle School is to provide a safe, respectful educational environment and challenging curriculum to prepare all students to become successful and responsible members of a diverse society.
