We would like to ask businesses and others to become involved with our band and to help out by donating money for uniforms. All contributions are tax deductable. 

 

 

Follow the link below for the papers that were handed out at the open house and if you haven’t signed and returned them, please print them out for Ms Keezel.

A Band Parent volunteer meeting is scheduled monthly at 6:30 pm in the band room.

Fundraising people, concession stand help and chaperones for field trips are examples of where we need to become active.

There is alot of opportunity for parents to become involved in helping our Mayport Middle School Band.


 GENERAL BAND INFORMATION

 

Hello Band Students and Parents,

 

Just a few things you will need to know to help you succeed in Band this year.

All performances are mandatory for the band members.

If you are a symphonic band student and are working to earn an A or B on your report card for this 9 week period, you must learn the 7 scales and chromatic scales to achieve this goal.

Percussionists will need to know the rudiments and be able to sight read to earn an A or B for this 9 week period.

 

 

SPECIAL NOTE FOR PARENTS!! 

There are several activities that could use parents’ help this year.  They include: --symphonic band uniform distribution—Ms. Keezel needs at least two parents who can help (ASAP) fit and distribute performing band uniforms at school—see contact information below

--band hallway bulletin board—posting pictures, band information, etc.

--chaperones for performances—we will be e-mailing you with performance dates/information as they arise

--occasional classroom helper for Ms. Keezel—please see below for her phone #’s to work out mutually convenient days/times

--fundraising

--concession help—one of the ways the band raises money for its operational costs are selling concessions at home football games, and at school dances
